Dr Mohamad Aizat Abas

Biography

Dr Mohamad Aizat Abas is a lecturer at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He obtained First Class degree for both Bachelor (BEng) and Master (MEng) program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2008 and 2009. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2013. His recent research interests are related to fluid-structure interaction problems with applications to Electronic Packaging (design of flexible printed circuit board), Biomedical (design of stent and artificial heart valve) and Civil (dam design and water filtration system). He has previously worked as a Project Manager at PLUS Expressway Berhad and Mechanical Engineer at Motorola Solutions Berhad prior to joining USM. He has also published more than 40 publications in high impact impact/indexed journals, indexed proceedings, international and local conferences.
